Letters sent using DearElder

Letters to Kyle can be sent using the website DearElder which will then be converted to pouch mail.  Letters sent by DearElder that are to be delivered to the MTC can be delivered the same day they are written.  Letters sent to Argentina will be delivered at the normal pouch mail speed of delivery though if you live outside of Utah, they may still be faster as the letters are delivered to the Church the day they transmitted to DearElder.  You can send an email without creating a DearElder account.  Read the FAQ on the website to decide how or if you wish to use this free service.

Pouch Mail

The Church provides a Pouch mail service to missionaries in Argentina.  Generally, there is a four-week interval between the time you mail the letter and it arrives in Kyle’s hands. Letters sent by pouch must either be postcards or one-page letters.  The letter must not be placed in an envelope but must be folded in thirds and taped across the top with two pieces of tape across the top, one inch in from each end.  Do not seal the ends.  Affix first class postage in the top right corner.  In the middle write the missionary address as follows.

Elder Kyle Hudgins
Argentina Neuquén Mission
POB 30150
Salt Lake City UT 84130-0150

Direct Mail to the mission office

The following address may be used to send packages to the mission office:

Elder Kyle Hudgins
Argentina Neuquen Mission
Casilla de Correo 321
8300 Neuquen
Argentina

Letters may take 2 – 5 weeks to arrive to the missionary.  Packages sent may be inspected by Argentine customs upon arrival.  Please use regular US Postal Service to mail packages.  UPS, FedEX and DHL packages often never arrive.  However, any merchandise that is sent is often subject to charges of 50% of the value of the contents which Kyle will have to pay customs to receive.  Bubble envelopes have a greater chance of making it through customs without charge if the declared value or weight is not too large.  Please be completely honest about the value of the items you are sending and DO NOT HIDE VALUABLE ITEMS INSIDE OTHER ITEMS.
