Our new blog of Kyle Hudgins’ mission

We started this blog to document Kyle’s mission.  To do that I need to go back in time a bit to the day Kyle received his mission call.  It was May 18th, 2011.  We pretty much knew the day it would be and were prepared when the mailman arrived.  He had to know we were waiting because as he drove into view, he had his hand sticking out of his truck with that big white envelope waving as he came to our house.

That evening, we had friends and family join us as Kyle opened his call,

“Dear Elder Hudgins:

You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Argentina Neuquén Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 24 months.

You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language.”

Boy are we all excited. Although we will miss Kyle, we can’t wait for him to be able to experience This Missionary Life.
