Well this week was a good one. We were able to see some signs of good things to come for us here in Rawson.

I will start off with my birthday. It was pretty relaxed. I hardly knew it was my birthday. We had a zone conference so that made it a little different than most days. It was a good zone conference. President Lovell talked a lot about the canges in the mission. He wants to start out with the basic things with our studies and planning. He is installing a new companionship study program to help us focus more on our investigators. It involves a lot of Prech my Gospel so I´m sure that is will show success. I´m excited to put this more in practice and hopefully we will be able to see more progress in our investigators. In the evening we had a noche de hogar in the capilla. We invited members and investigators. It was really good and a lot of people showed up. I think there was about 25 or something like that. We talked about the scriptures and watched a short movie and did a little activity. It went really well. Silvia and Oscar both came and so the brother of Gonzalo and Rodrigo. So that was good to have those investigators come and enjoy themselves. Some people brought some refreshments so afterward we ate those and everyone sang happy birthday to me in spanish and in english so that was pretty funny. But all in all it was a very good activity where we all had some fun.

This week we were also able to get in contact with a part member family. Hna. Mursilli who is a member is about 85 years old and one day we dicided to pay her a visit. We talked with her a little bit and also with her husband who is not a member. We also talked with her daughter who is a member as well but has a 10 year old daughter who is not a member. So we sat down with them and talked about the church and stuff and they were very reciptive. So hopefully we can start working with this family and see where is goes from there.

Another awesome thing that happened is that the 2 kids from Hno. Chemin´s other son, Ricardo, came to church. Gustavo and Fernanda have been telling us that they had wanted to go to church with them but the parents never let them because they said it was too early. But this week they went. After church we had lunch with Gustavo and Fernanda and Ricardo´s wife Romina came by and we started to talk with her about what her kids thought about church. She said that they loved it and were trying to tell her everything but there was just too much to talk about haha. So that is a good sign. We have seen a lot things with the family of Ricardo and we are very anxious to work with them but haven´t found the opportunity. But today we are going to stop by and hopefully we can talk more with Ricardo and Romina. I´m very excited to see what happens with this family.

So I´m really excited for this week for the opportunity to work with these two families. I sure hope it goes well. Thank you for all you prayer and I hope that you all have a wonderfull week. I love you all!

Hello my dear family and friends. This week has been a good one and I also recieved some very nice packages in the mail today! So thank you very much! It looks like all is in order and nobody stole anything.

Well with this week I´ll start off with the service that we did with Silvia and Oscar. Oh man what a day. We spent about 3 hours picking some weeds, and I mean some big weeds. But it wasn´t too bad, it was a little fun in a way because in Argentina, they don´t belive in throwing away leaves, weeds, branches, stuff like that in the garbage. They just burn it. So we made a huge bon fire at the end so that was pretty sweet. I think that is something we should adopt in the United States, no? It makes things a lot easier. But the cool thing that happend after. Silvia and Oscar invited us to eat some tortas fritas and some tea. While we were eating Oscar said that he would come to church with Silvia Sunday. And yesterday they both came. Elder Hernandez said that after that he finally understood the scripture in Mosiah 2:17 “os digo estas cosas para que aprendáis sabiduría…” Usually when we look at that scipture we focus on the second part. But we sure did learn some wisdom in this situation when he said that he was going to come to church. I´m excited to see how this turns out and hopefully we can teach him more of the gospel.

This week we have also been working really hard with Ariel. He understands everything that we have taught and likes everything. This week we taught about the plan of salvation and about baptisms for the dead because he had a few questions with that. This lesson strengthened my testimoney because it shows that salvation is available for everybody. The only thing that I believe is holding back Ariel is that he isn´t accustomed to pray. He doesn´t have a very strong testimony of prayer and hasn´t asked if these things are true. So we are going to focus more on that and hopefully we can help him.

Well this week I have the wonderfull oportunity to have a zone conference on my birthday. How convinient haha. So hopefully it will be a good one. I love you all and I hope that all of you have a wonderfull week!

Hey family and friends! It looks like you all had a great time this week in Park City. Thank you for all the pictures. Its always nice to see your faces.

Well this week was a tough one with a lot of citas that fell through so we had a hard time following with some of the commitments that we made with our investigators. We were able to follow up with Ariel though and he is doing great. He really liked church last week. We talked about priesthood authority because he doesn´t think that he needs another baptism. We really had a great lesson about it and he was able to understand. That was our biggest concern was if he would be able to understand it or not. But he asked the perfect questions and we were able to have the perfect answers for him. It was really fun. He asked the question how did Joseph Smith get this power and it was awesome to be able to testify of the restoration of the priesthood. We then invited him to be baptized and he said yes. So hopefully we can answer all his doubts and get him ready to be baptized in these next coming weeks. Its really exciting.

We are also seeing some progression with Silvia. The past month or so we haven´t really seen her much and stopped progressing. But this last week we met up with her and she said that she is preparing to go to Buenos Aires to do the things for her divorce. The other day she showed us he backyard which is a mess and asked if we could come by and do some service. We said yes of course but tomorrow we will be doing a lot of service haha. But that will be fun.

Sunday was a little down though. A lot of people didn´t come to church. Ariel, Silvia, Javier, Gonzalo, and Rodrigo all did not show up. So that is something that we are going to have to work on. In my mission I have realized how important it is to attend church every Sunday and to partake of the sacrament every Sunday. The church is where we are able to learn and grow and recieve a remision of our sins. Isn´t that great. That we can receive that every week! Its one of the things that I think is often overlooked. So hopefully we can work with all of those people and help them recognized the improtance of church.

I´m sorry I don´t have too much this week. I´m still waiting for my package. I haven´t checked today if it arrived or not but I don´t think so because the office hasn´t taken money out of my account. All I can say is thank you for the packages but now I am going to have no money haha! Oh well I´m sure it will be well worth it. Love you all!

Beautiful week in Rawson!

Well we sure did have a great week here in Rawson. The weather was wonderful and we also had a lot of sweet things happen with investigators and menos activos.

Well I will start off with a baptism! This week Javier was baptized. It was really sweet even though not a lot of people were able to show up. The service was at 9 in the morning because he had to go straight to work righ after. But it sure was wonderful. One of the things that made it so awesome is that Gustavo Chemin was the one who baptized Javier. It sure was a great thing to see. To see a convert progress as Gustavo has and to see an investigator make that dicision to make a covenant with God. I could tell that Javier really was happy to be doing what he did. It was awesome.

I will also tell you about a menos activo family that we are working with the, Saavedra family. We have been visiting them for about a month now. They have been inactive for about 10 years now. The son who is 26 years old came to play futbol with us on saturday morning with the young men and young adults. So that was really good. And also on Saturday there was a primary activity and the mom and the daughter who is 19 and the youngest son who is 7 all came to the activity. It was sweet, and then on Sunday the daughter and the mom and the youngest son all came to sacrament. That was awesome. We had an awesome testimony meeting and the mom and the daughter were both crying during the whole meeting because the spirit was so strong. She told us that she felt is really stong and wants to return the the church now. So that was really awesome. They all had a wonderfull experience. It was really sweet to see the spirit work on somebody like that. It was just awesome I can´t really describe it.

This week we were also able to find an investigator that Elder Rivera and I had. His name is Ariel and he really progressed well in the past. But one week he came to church and didn´t like it at all and we were not able to find him this whole transfer. But this past week we stopped by his house without calling or anything. He let us in and he told us that one of you coworkers who is member invited him to church. He said that there is no way that that could be a coincidence. So we talked a lot and really helped him out. He came to sacrament and said he liked it. So we will pass by and see how it goes this time around. I’m really excited to work with him again.

Well thats about all I have. I hope you all have a wonderfull week and hopefully my packages come in the coming week. My shoes are really getting bad haha. I love you all and thank you for all the letters this week!
